    Crescent School

    Required from September 2026, an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated teacher to lead the teaching of Computing, and delivery of Information Technology in its broader sense, across the school. An ability to teach another curriculum subject is also highly desirable, in particular Games and PE, but other subject specialisms will also be considered.

    The effective delivery of Computing and Digital Learning are an increasingly significant element in all schools. At Crescent, we see this as a key area for future development, enabling our pupils to be equipped with the skills and mindsets that will enable them to succeed both in school life and beyond.

    The Head of Digital Learning will oversee the provision of Computing, and more broadly all learning involving digital platforms. They will deliver a broad and engaging curriculum to the pupils and support teachers across the school to make best use of information technology in the broader sense, enabling them to produce the best possible lessons that will inspire and challenge every pupil.

    This role may appeal to teachers with secondary school experience looking for a change of phase, or equally primary generalists with a strong interest in the teaching of computing. The successful candidate will be able to teach Computing across both Key Stage 1 and 2.

    The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a high level of skill in the delivery of this key and ever-changing curriculum area. An enthusiasm to become involved with the extra-curricular life of the school is also important. Candidates should be able to demonstrate outstanding teaching skills in the classroom and be effective team players. A willingness to attend residential visits is also desirable

    ECTs are also welcome to apply; the Crescent has a comprehensive induction programme leading to full QTS status.

Opportunities at Princethorpe College

From time to time we look to recruit additional teaching and support staff in the following areas:

  • Exam Invigilators – to assist in the smooth running of internal and public examinations
  • SEND support staff – for in-class, small group and one-to-one work with pupils
  • Cover Teaching Staff – being part of a team available for short-term and long-term supply work
  • Games Coaching – to assist with our wide-ranging sports programme
