Visit the School

There are a number of opportunities to visit Princethorpe during the course of the year, in order for prospective pupils and their parents to get a true flavour of the school before registering to take the entrance examinations in November or applying for Sixth Form.

Prospective families are also very welcome to attend our PTA Summer Fete and Motoring Festival in June and our PTA Christmas Fair in December. See website calendar for details.

Open Events

Summer Open Evening 

Wednesday 4 June 2025, 6.30pm to 8.30pm

Come along to our Summer Open Evening and explore the school. There will be lots of activities across the subjects for you and your child to get involved in. This is a great opportunity for those looking to join Princethorpe in September 2026 and beyond.

Taster Events

Year 5 Taster Days - May and June 

Taster Days run from 9.30am to 3.00pm and typically involve four lessons, a question and answer session with some of our current pupils and the chance to talk to the Headmaster, Mr du Toit. Snacks and lunch are provided and there is no charge for the day.

Wednesday 11 June, Tuesday 17 June and Thursday 19 June.

YEar 4 and 5 Say Hello To HOckey 

Friday 16 May 2025, 4.15pm to 6.00pm

The afternoon is aimed at children of all skill levels, including those who have not necessarily played hockey before. Taught by Princethorpe's experienced sports coaches, including national level hockey players, this event is aimed at both boys and girls and will be a fun and informal experience of this energetic and fast paced sport.

National Schools' Two Day Equestrian Event
Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 May 2025

Taking place for the tenth year running on the magnificent Princethorpe estate, this is the only event of its kind in the UK attracting up to 300 riders a year. Entry for spectators is free and there is no need to book in advance. They are lovely days out for all the family - why not bring a picnic?!

Summer Art, Photography and Design Show 2025
Thursday 26 June - 6.00pm to 8.30pm and Sunday 29 June - 2.00pm - 4.30pm

A celebration of our students’ GCSE and A-level Art, Photography and Design work, which will be on display in the Sixth Form Centre.

Free on Thursday 26 June
£5 per car on Sunday 29 June as it is part of the Summer Fest.

A fun-filled day for all the family, with live music, a theatre show, a vintage car display, literary talks, art exhibition, activities, games and crafts and lots more, as well as lots of food, drink and artisan products for all to purchase and enjoy. Entry is £5 per car to be paid on the day.
