Visit the School

There are a number of opportunities to visit Princethorpe during the course of the year, in order for prospective pupils and their parents to get a true flavour of the school before registering to take the entrance examinations in November or applying for Sixth Form.

Prospective families are also very welcome to attend our PTA Summer Fete and Motoring Festival in June and our PTA Christmas Fair in December. See website calendar for details.

Open Events

Open Morning - Thursday 18 April 2024

Thursday 18 April, 10.30am to 12.30pm

Considering Princethorpe for September 2025? Come and experience Princethorpe on a normal working day. You will be toured around the school by our current pupils to give you a true flavour of what it is like to be a Princethorpe pupil. Key members of staff will also be on hand to answer any of your questions.

Summer Open Evening - Wednesday 5 June 2024

Wednesday 5 June 2024, 6.30pm - 8.30pm

Join us for our Summer Open Evening and take a look around the school. Visit departments, take part in activities and hear from our Headmaster, Mr Grove du Toit about what a Princethorpe education can do for your child.

Taster Events

Year 5 Taster Days - May and June 2024

Year 5 Taster days take place over several days in May and June. 

Aimed at prospective Year 5 pupils, our Taster Days are a great way for your child to really experience Princethorpe during a normal school day.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Say Hello To Hockey - Saturday 11 May 2024

The morning is aimed at children of all skill levels, including those who have not necessarily played hockey before. Taught by Princethorpe's experienced sports coaches, including national level hockey players, this event is aimed at both boys and girls and will be a fun and informal experience of this energetic and fast paced sport.

This event is open to children who do not attend a Foundation prep school.

A leading equestrian event bringing together hundreds of school and riding club competitors from across the UK continues for 2024, attracting entries from all over the country.

PTA Summer Fete and Motoring Festival

Sunday 30 June 2024

This event takes place in the Orchard between 2.00pm and 4.30pm. There is lots of entertainment both for children and adults alike, which often includes a large inflatable slide for the kids, BBQ, refreshments, bar, pupils’ stalls, over 30 external stalls, a raffle and many, many more exciting things for all the family to enjoy.
