  • Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 1

    Crescent School

    We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 1 team in September 2025, working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.45am to 3.45pm. Additional hours working as a part of our wrap-around care team are available.

    Working closely with the classroom teacher or line manager, you will provide support and assist teachers in the development and education of the children in our school. We see our teachings assistants as a key part of the team in the classrooms, who can have an enormous impact on teaching and learning. You will be a part of the planning as well as delivery of the lessons and will be expected to contribute to the ongoing assessment of pupil progress. Alongside these key tasks, you will also be required to undertake a range of teaching and non-teaching tasks related to classroom activities and provide basic supervision and care skills.

    The salary is £24,375 to £26,286 full-time equivalent per annum, by negotiation, depending on qualifications and relevant experience. Actual salary being £15,462 to £16,675 per annum (including holiday pay) and corresponding to points D5 to D12 on the Foundation pay scales.

Opportunities at Princethorpe College

From time to time we look to recruit additional teaching and support staff in the following areas:

  • Exam Invigilators – to assist in the smooth running of internal and public examinations
  • SEND support staff – for in-class, small group and one-to-one work with pupils
  • Cover Teaching Staff – being part of a team available for short-term and long-term supply work
  • Games Coaching – to assist with our wide-ranging sports programme
