OP Profiles

Meet some of our Old Princethorpians, who attended the school from when it was St Mary's Priory to recent leavers.

    Alan Young

    [ITEM_ROLE]

I boarded at Princethorpe between 1978 and 1981, one of the many Hong Kong boarders of the time.

I am now Head of IT at Caritas Hong Kong, Canossa and Precious Blood Hospitals (Caritas).

I have four cousins and two brothers who also attended Princethorpe, they are Paul Cheung, Peter Cheung, Jonathan Cheung, David Chung and my two brothers Stephen Yeung and Patrick Yeung.

The older I get the more I reminisce about my time at Princethorpe. I used to sing and play the guitar in the Chapel every Sunday with a roommate called Ian Hyam, who I recently was reconnected with thanks to the OPs putting us back in touch.

I am now Chairman of the Hong Kong and Asia chapter of the Old Princethorpians. We normally have a gathering of the Hong Kong Old Princethorpians once a year. Sometimes, others from Asia countries like Singapore, Malaysia will also join our gathering.
