PTA Summer Fête and Motoring Festival 2021 - Cancelled
It is with enormous regret and sadness that both of these events have been cancelled.
Following on from the Prime Minister’s announcement on Monday evening (14 June) regarding the continuation of current COVID restrictions until Monday 19 July, we have thoroughly reviewed all the events and activities we have in our calendar from Monday 21 June until the end of term.
With coronavirus cases linked to the new Delta variant significantly on the rise, we are conscious of the need to follow all government advice and guidance and for us to continue to maintain the safest possible environment for all our school community. One of the real straightjackets with current restriction levels revolves around social distancing, particularly with bringing large numbers of visitors onto the site.
Many of our planned events were realistically only going to be possible with restrictions lifted. We have therefore taken the sad decision that we need to cancel the PTA Summer Fête and twenty-fifth Princethorpe Motoring Festival on Sunday 27 June as we are conscious of the difficulties in maintaining social distancing. We realise that this will come as a huge disappointment and all we can do is to apologise.
The Summer Art, Photography and Design Show, on Thursday 24 and Sunday 27 June, will go ahead, with limited numbers and pre-bookable sessions, the link will be available from Tuesday 22 June.
We can confirm that the date for the Summer Fete and Motoring Festival for next year has been confirmed as Sunday 26 June 2022 and we look forward to welcoming you then, when hopefully there will be a greater return to normality.
There will be an initial bulletin about the Motoring Festival in the spring of 2022 and we will contact everyone again with an update and we look forward to seeing everyone next year.
Once again, many apologies and we hope to see you at Princethorpe again later in the year.
