Princethorpe’s U13 Girls' Football Team Celebrate Double Cup Success

Two cup competitions in one school week saw the College’s U13 Girls team achieve double success and progress into the next round of both the English Schools and Independent Schools Football Association's Cup competitions, much to the delight of their proud coaches.
On Monday 12 January, the team faced Hinchingbrooke School in Round 5 of the ESFA Cup where a strong, determined performance delivered a well-earned 5-0 victory taking the team through to the last 16 of this national competition.
Then on Thursday 15 January, in truly dismal conditions, the team faced Brentwood School in the quarter-final of the ISFA Cup. Princethorpe’s girls showed incredible resilience and self-belief, attacking confidently and tackling consistently to finish the match with a 3-1 win, earning themselves a place in the semi-finals.
Team Manager, Dan White, was ecstatic and said, "These girls have been outstanding all season. Their attitude, resilience and talent have shone through in the face of every challenge, including this week's unrelenting rain and mud. They have achieved so much and have the potential for more. I'm proud of every single one of them."
Another fantastic effort from the girls. Keep it up Princethorpe!
