Princethorpe College Awarded Eco School Green Flag

The award is given to schools that work through a seven-step framework outlined in the Eco-Schools programme. Jacqui Scott, who along with Tom Walton, support Planet Princethorpe, the school's Eco committee, here at Princethorpe College, said: "We are thrilled that our environmental efforts have been recognised by the Eco Schools team and that pupils are now empowered to lead on environmental initiatives and work in partnership with other areas of the school to improve our sustainability. I am very proud of our pupils' enthusiasm to make real changes for the benefit of our planet."

The Planet Princethorpe team identified three key focus areas for sustainability improvements: Waste, Litter and Biodiversity. Across the year, pupils took part in activities and initiatives to make suggestions, plan projects and enact practical change. 

This award is the result of a year of hard work from the Planet Princethorpe Team, who meet regularly on Thursdays at Tutor Time. A special thank you goes to all the pupils who were part of the Planet Princethorpe Leadership Team last year.
