Lower Sixth Gain Valuable Insights Into Writing A CV

14 Jan

Princethorpe’s Lower Sixth welcomed Geraldine Mills, HR Director at the University of Warwick, to school on Monday 12 January to hear her insights into what makes a good Curriculum Vitae.

Geraldine delivered an informative introduction to writing a CV, perfect preparation for the Lower Sixth as they face the upcoming task of drafting their first CV.

Geraldine shared valuable insights into what CVs should include, what employers look for, how to evidence your superpowers, make strong first impressions and the importance of showcasing your potential. The session was part of the College’s Sixth Form Careers Programme, that plays a vital role in preparing our students for their future pathways and careers.

Next up for the Lower Sixth is their Interview Skills Day which takes place later this month when students’ newly drafted CVs will be put to the test.

A huge thank you to Geraldine for sharing her expertise and supporting our students’ development.
