Louise Bryer Recognised As Invigilator Of The Year

The award is national recognition for Louise’s exceptional professionalism and ability to maintain fair and supportive examination environment. It celebrates her dedication to supporting others, commitment to high standards, and genuine care for both candidates and staff.

Louise was nominated by Princethorpe’s Examinations Officer, Sarah Tsang, in recognition of her constant support, encouragement and practical help. Selected from hundreds of nominees across the country, the judges commented that Louise stood out as demonstrating an exceptional balance of rigorous standards and compassionate care. In recognising her with the award, they commended her for her proactive practical problem-solving, skill in managing complex exam room environments, willingness to support colleagues by freely sharing her expertise and her remarkable ability to create a calm, focused atmosphere for anxious pupils.

It is a lovely acknowledgement of the important role invigilators play during one of the most stressful times in a pupil’s academic life. While the role may often go unnoticed, invigilation not only requires professionalism and knowledge, but also kindness and a supportive approach, which can make a real difference to pupils’ wellbeing during the exam season.
