We are pleased to introduce our Duke of Edinburgh's Award Young Leaders.
Lower Sixth Formers, Connor, Hetty, Jessica, Maisie, Sam, Amber, Lucas, Soren and George, are Princethorpe’s latest group of DofE Young Leaders, supporting the College’s Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme by mentoring younger pupils participating in the scheme. The students are all actively working towards their Gold Award, and with the majority having both Bronze and Silver awards already under their belts, they have plenty of valuable experience to share.
The nine students have completed the DofE Young Leaders training programme, which has supported their own personal development too. These young people are already making a difference here at Princethorpe. Their positive attitude, enthusiasm for outdoor education and excellent organisational skills helping younger pupils progress their awards.
Tamsin Frost, Duke of Edinburgh Programme Manager, explains: “Our DofE Young Leaders were chosen for their commitment, enthusiasm and willingness to help others. In their roles, they are actively engaging with Year 9 and Year 10 participants, creating a welcoming and encouraging environment. We are delighted with their dedication; they are superb role models for our younger pupils.”
