Christmas Soirée Was Fabulously Festive

12 Dec

It’s traditional at Christmas for the College to hold a soirée to showcase pupils’ wonderful music and performance skills and this year’s joyous event took place on Thursday 11 December.

Hosted and organised by Director of Music, Gil Cowlishaw, and Teacher of Music, Alison Wakeley, the acts performed in a chilly College Chapel but the fantastic entertainment soon warmed everyone’s hearts.

The soirée included 26 acts across a range of instruments and styles, modern and traditional, some serious, some silly, but all fabulously festive and accompanied by plenty of tinsel, baubles and Christmas jumpers. A huge thank you to all of the pupils and staff taking part and all who invested so many hours preparing them. Our lovely informal musical soirée offered everyone a slice of something special this Christmas time.
