Trip To Costa Rica Swapped The Classroom For The Canopies

There, pupils swapped the classroom for the canopies and coral reefs and spent ten days immersed in the natural world.

Split into two groups, they followed the same route but one travelling in reverse. They hiked tropical trails, explored volcanic national parks, wandered amongst the treetops, visited geothermal springs, snorkelled over reefs, supported turtle conservation and even went white-water rafting. They observed wildlife in its natural habitat and learned about sustainable farming practices and in between it all squeezed in the odd football match or two!

Their trip was about so much more than just travel - it brought their classroom learning alive, highlighting the importance of our natural world, challenging perspectives as well as making memories that will no doubt last a lifetime.
