Second Place At Catenians Midlands Public Speaking

26 Mar

Lower Sixth Former, Lola, celebrated after finishing in second place at the Midlands round of the 2026 Catenian Association's Public Speaking Competition.

The contest took place at Newman University on Thursday 26 March, in the evening, with students representing Catholic schools from across the region.

Competitors were marked by the judging panel on a variety of criteria from content, delivery, elocution and appearance. Lola spoke with tremendous flair, presenting a compelling and well-argued case. She clearly impressed the judges with her speech and her second place finish against such strong competition was a real achievement.

Many congratulations to Lola, and to all of the competitors, who spoke so eloquently in this challenging and thought-provoking competition.
