Meet the OPs Committee

The Old Princethorpians Committee is going from strength to strength. The Committee has grown and now numbers 15  - with past pupils represented from across the decades and former and current longstanding members of staff and former parents also involved.

The Committee meets three times a year and conducts its business over a very pleasant supper in the new Sixth Form Centre.

If you would be interested in attending a committee meeting or possibly joining the committee, please contact the OPs Secretary, Melanie Butler by emailing Old Princethorpians.

The Committee’s raison d’etre is as follows, to:

  • Maintain traditions and ethos of the school and promote its interests
  • Keep in touch with past pupils and facilitate their maintaining and renewing friendships/networking

    Loretta Curtis

    [ITEM_ROLE]

Loretta joined the College initially as Admissions Secretary in November 1997 later becoming Registrar. Her son, Michael, arrived at Princethorpe in September 1995 so had a head start when it came to finding the way around the building. With a background as secretary at a school in Rugby, events management and experience in the retail environment Loretta brought a wealth of experience to her role. The position of Registrar begins with the initial contact enquiry from a parent through to entrance examinations and commencement of the child at school. In 2015 Loretta decided to step down from the role of Registrar and was offered a part-time position as Development Assistant in the newly created Development Office. This has enabled Loretta, with her colleagues in the office, to raise funds for bursary awards and the new science centre. Outside of Princethorpe Loretta and her husband, Paul, have two grown up sons and two grandchildren. She enjoys family get-togethers, reading, gardening and travel.
