OP Profiles

Meet some of our Old Princethorpians, who attended the school from when it was St Mary's Priory to recent leavers.

    Harry O'Brien

    [ITEM_ROLE]

I attended Princethorpe from 2005-2012 and also completed a further year as a teaching assistant in 2013. Previous to this I attended Crackley Hall, joining in 2000 having moved over to the area from Ireland. I have been a part of the Princethorpe family ever since!

I currently work for Hiscox Insurance as an Underwriter. I joined Hiscox in September 2018 having spent two years working for the sportswear manufacturer, Akuma, who I joined after graduating from the University of Portsmouth.

I have many great memories of my time at Princethorpe however, as a keen sportsman, the tour of South Africa and the many Saturdays spent playing sports fixtures stand out for me. The opportunity to reconnect with a lot of school mates through the various OP sporting events has been great since leaving the College.

Sport remains a keen passion of mine however I have taken a step back from semi-professional rugby, having recently left Birmingham Moseley, in order to focus on work. I now mix playing Rugby with a new found passion for Golf.

I still see plenty of people that I attended school with through get togethers, birthdays and social events. My brother also attended Princethorpe, joining me in 2007, and we have a distinct memory away at Welbeck College where I played my last 1st XV game with Josh making his debut.
