Profile:I am married with 2 daughters both of whom went to St Joseph’s Convent School at Crackley Hall.

I am a Catholic and a parishioner of Christ the King Church in Coventry, where I am a lay reader and parish archivist.

From 1963 to 1983 I taught in four schools in the City of Coventry, two Catholic schools and two state schools, across the primary age range. In 1983 I was appointed as acting Head and in1984 I become the Head of a three-form-entry Junior school, which became a Primary school with a 78 place Nursery.

I retired from Headship in 2000 and worked as a part time lecturer at Warwick University in the Education Faculty. I worked in a number of roles including supervising students on the Early Years Foundation course, being a link tutor for students on the BAQTS and PGCE courses. My major role was as the primary expert and tutor on the Graduate Teacher Programme. I worked as an adviser in Birmingham for three years, supporting nine primary schools in the City. I am a Governor of two primary schools within the City of Coventry, one in my Parish and one in a deprived area of the City. I have been Governor/Trustee of the Foundation since 2000.
