The Admissions Process
Admission to the Sixth Form is by interview and satisfactory GCSE results. The minimum academic requirement is five GCSEs at grade C, although most candidates will have at least grade B in the subjects to be studied to A-level, but it is preferable to have an A for Mathematics, Modern Languages and Sciences, and at least a B in Mathematics for Economics and at least a B in Science for Psychology.
External candidates should get in touch with the Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Margaret Robinson, to arrange an informal interview, after which a formal registration along with provisional options for AS-level should be made via our Registrar, Mrs Loretta Curtis.

Following satisfactory references from the student’s current school, the Admission Panel will meet and, if appropriate, a conditional offer will be made subject to actual GCSE grades.
Once actual GCSE grades have been advised to the Registrar by telephone in August, a confirmed offer will be made. Confirmation of acceptance from a parent with £300 deposit is then required to secure the place. This deposit is refunded at the end of the final term which the pupil spends at Princethorpe.
