Scholarships

There is a variety of Scholarships available for particularly able or talented candidates ranging from Academic, Art and Music to All-Rounder. Additionally for the Sixth Form there are Academic Scholarships and Sports Scholarships available. Scholarships can range from a maximum reduction of one half of tuition fees to a minimum of a 10% reduction.

Academic Scholarships
Candidates applying for entry in all age groups will be considered automatically for an academic scholarship when taking the Entrance Examination. Applicants who are only able to accept a place if a scholarship is offered should make this clear at the time of registration.

Academic Scholarships are awarded to outstanding candidates.

Art and Music Scholarships
The process for applying for art and music scholarships is outlined separately within this section.

All Rounder Scholarship
Sometimes there are students who are gifted in a variety of areas and the most outstanding of these can be awarded an All Rounder Scholarship. Supportive evidence is required as references from team coaches or activity leaders.

New - Princethorpe College Thomas More Scholarships
Means-tested scholarships up to 100% of the school fees

These new scholarships are available for Catholic pupils who currently attend Catholic Primary Schools in Rugby for entrance to Year 7 at Princethorpe in September 2010.

We are looking to offer scholarships to pupils who would not normally be able to attend the College and would benefit from the Catholic education provided at Princethorpe. The scholarships are open to boys and girls of outstanding talent and skill in a variety of fields who would fully support the Catholic ethos of the College.

Application forms are available from the College and must be supported by a reference from the Headteacher and Parish Priest.  For further details contact Loretta Curtis, the Registrar, Princethorpe College on 01926 634201

Closing date 8 January 2010
