News - 22/01/2010 - College Students Respond to Haiti Appeal
Sixth form students at Princethorpe College organised a cake sale to help raise emergency funds for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. A number of whole school initiatives have been put into place including a Caribbean lunch and the opportunity to have friendship photographs taken, with all proceeds going directly to the appeal. Princethorpe has already sent off a donation of £850. Head of Chaplaincy Mrs Heather Harris commented,
‘We sent £850 as soon as we had heard what happened in Haiti. This reflects a pound for every pupil and member of staff at the College. As a Catholic community with a strong charity ethos the students formed a committee to think of ways of helping to raise money to respond to those in need.’
