



News - 18/06/2009 - Crachkley Hall - Tennis Star Matthew Gets to Meet Former British Number One
Promising tennis star Matthew Pandya, 8, from Crackley Hall School has recently attended the National Lawn Tennis Association’s Talent Identification Day which took place in Lancashire at the Bolton Arena. The top 16 boys in the country in his age group were invited to the day where they were assessed in a number of fitness, co-ordination and tennis skills tests. They were also observed in matchplay. Former British Number One Greg Rusedski was one of the LTA's representatives who was monitoring the athletes for the day.
Representing Warwickshire Matthew also took part in the Aegon Mini Classics event at Edgbaston Priory where the professional Ladies tournament was being held at the same time. Competing a year below his age group the Year 3 pupil came third overall in the finals.
