Learning Support
If your son or daughter is struggling a little and may just need that bit extra, you’ll be in the right place at Crackley Hall. We care very much that all our pupils should be happy and achieving with us, and that means that we make it our business to understand how each one of them learns.
If your child needs a little extra 1:1 help to get reading and spelling or Maths off to a strong start, we have just the expertise you need, with two specialist teachers qualified to Diploma level.
We have small classes and many of these have additional support personnel working in the class. There are small groups to help certain children hone their skills in specific areas, such as listening. And when it comes to examinations, we always ensure that those children who are entitled to special arrangements do get their entitlement.
We have a Special Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) who specialises in dyslexia and literacy and our pupils benefit from staff who are quick to recognise and refer pupils who need specialist assessment and/or help. We screen for dyslexia in Year 2 and Year 4 each year.
Our goal is to ensure that all children at Crackley School are happy and fulfilled, and providing the right support at the right time is all part of that mission.
There is a charge for the one-to-one and small group sessions.
